USF announced Monday its wide-ranging feasibility study exploring the viability of an on-campus football stadium enters the survey phase starting this week.
Students, alumni, faculty, staff, Bulls Club members and ticket purchasers will receive an e-mail to a link where the online survey can be completed. The survey data will be completed later this spring; the feasibility study is expected to wrap up this summer.
"As we have said from the beginning of this process, the interests of our university community, USF students, alumni and supporters will be an integral part of our decision-making process as we continue to study the potential for an on-campus football stadium," athletic director Mark Harlan said in a statement released by the school.
"The next step in our study is to reach out to those constituents and ask for their input and opinions. We look forward to their participation in this process and learning from what they have to say."
USF released its stadium conceptual planning study last August, indicating four sites were being explored, all near or bordering Fowler Avenue. At that time, projected capacity for the stadium was 40,000-50,000, with total costs estimated at $200 million.
