Lithia diaper bank gets donation
LITHIA - The K.T. Community Foundation recently provided a grant to Bottoms Diaper Bank of Lithia that allowed the nonprofit group to buy 12,500 diapers. The diapers will help 250 at-risk children and will be distributed through LifeCare of Brandon Crisis Pregnancy, A Kid's Place and Seeds of Hope Food Bank. Blessed Bottoms provides diapers to families in need, orphans and women in crisis through partner organizations. The KTC Foundation is funded by Kent Thiry – the chairman and CEO of DaVita, Inc., a Denver-based company that provides dialysis services to kidney patients – and his wife, Denise O'Leary.
