Police arrest suspect in shooting at Ybor City restaurant

Police have arrested a Tampa man suspected of shooting four men outside a popular Ybor City restaurant last week.

Jihad Hakim Amos, 20, faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and violation of probation in the shooting early Friday morning in an outside patio area at Carmine’s 7th Avenue, 1802 Seventh Ave.

Police say the establishment was near capacity when Amos shot the four men around 2 a.m.

The victims — Shaun Smith, 29; Matthew Musmian, 28; and Parish Jordan and Leroy Monsalvatge, both 22 — were seriously injured and transported to local hospitals police said.
