Bradenton man, 47, faces charges in the shooting death of girlfriend

A 47-year-old Bradenton man was arrested this morning and faces charges in the slaying of his live-in girlfriend.

Bradenton police say Terry A. Braddy could be charged with one count of murder in the shooting death of Linda Brown, who would have turned 48 on Monday.

Police were called to the 200 block of 19th Street at 5:20 a.m. today and found Brown unresponsive with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

She was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 6:23 a.m., police said.

Braddy was arrested without incident, police said.

Homicide detectives continued their investigation today and were looking for anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or knew the victim or defendant.
