TAMPA — Frontier Airlines announced Thursday that Tampa International Airport will be one of 14 new destinations the low-fare carrier will begin service to from Austin, Texas starting in April.
Thursday and Sunday flights between Austin and Tampa are scheduled to start April 8.
Last year, Frontier added 11 new flights from Tampa to cities such as Indianapolis, Kansas City, Providence, Columbus, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Colorado Springs, Buffalo, Long Island, St. Louis, Nashville and Milwaukee.
Along with Tampa, Frontier also said it will expand service between Austin and Jacksonville. The airline said it is offering special fares as low as $29 each way to introduce the expanded service.
