WELBILT TO EXPAND, ADD NEW JOBS: Welbilt, 2227 Welbilt Blvd., New Port Richey, a commercial food service equipment manufacturer, plans to remodel and expand its research and development labs, adding 42,000 square feet of laboratory, test kitchen and improved customer experience center. The expansion will create 110 jobs and more than $10 million in new capital investment in Pasco County over the next three years. The expansion project was made possible by partnerships with Pasco County and the Pasco Economic Development Council.

REAL ESTATE FIRM CLOSES SALE AND LEASE: Hold-Thyssen, a commercial real estate firm with offices in Clearwater, recently negotiated a sale of real property, a corporation and a lease of professional offices in New Port Richey. Carol L. Kinnard, transaction specialist, represented the seller, RTF Holdings, in a sale transaction at 5705-13 Gulf Drive in the Gulf Drive Professional Center. The buyer is a real estate investor who purchased the 5,588 square foot building comprised of five office units, two of which are leased, and the office condominium association. Kinnard brokered a lease renewal agreement with Psychological Management Group, at Counsel Square I, 7619 Little Road, on behalf of the landlord, a private investor, for Suite 325C with 1,000 rentable square feet.

DOCTOR LECTURES IN CHICAGO: Dr. David Kimmel of the Florida Center for Laser Dentistry in Bayonet Point, recently returned from Chicago, Ill., where he gave hands-on instruction for the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, to 14 doctors and one nurse practitioner on threading techniques to help lift the facial and neck skin and smooth facial lines.
