Bucs GM Jason Licht addresses season ticket holders in renewal video: “We know what we need.”

Bucs general manager Jason Licht said  nobody feels good about the Bucs 5-11 season last year and that players  "don't want to experience the type of thing they did last year again."

In a brief video message to season pass holders, the Licht says the Bucs learned from losing their share of close games  and promises "we know what we need."

Season ticket holders were notified by email Tuesday that for a third year in a row, the Bucs were raising ticket prices. But they can keep the 2017 pricing if they renew by March 15.

Lower level tickets on the home side of the field are up about $250 per seat. The two center sections closest to the 50-yard line will go from $1,350 to $1,600. Those same seats were $950 in 2015, an increase of 62 percent in three years.

"In the time I've been here in Tampa, I can't tell you how many times I've run across season pass members like yourselves and every time I do, I feel your passion," Licht said. "It makes me very proud to be a part of this organization.

"None of us here feel good about the results of last season. We didn't meet your expectations. We certainly didn't meet our expectations. We know what we have with this team but we also know what we need. We're right in the middle of our evaluations with our scouts, our coaching staff. We're working diligently to bring a championship here to Tampa Bay.

"In the draft, we've picked players like Jameis (Winston), Ali Marpet, Donvan Smith, Kwon Alexander, whose in the Pro Bowl this year. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, O.J. Howard. These players, when I say they have a big heart, trust me, there are some huge hearts in that locker room. They don't want to experience the type of thing they did last year again.

"We were on the losing end of some very close games. I'm very confident that the lessons we learned last season will stay with us as we continue to build this team and learn to close out games next year.

"I want to thank you for your loyalty and passion for this team. And more importantly, I look forward to seeing you and your energy at Raymond James (Stadium) next fall."
