Some commuters along Tampa Bay’s coastal areas could be in for a wet ride this morning as showers move in off the Gulf of Mexico.
The winds off the Gulf are producing muggy conditions, wet roads and more prevalent morning showers, with more widespread rain by noon, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
More powerful storms will form in inland areas later this afternoon and will last into tonight.
Highs again will pass 90.
Rain chances bump up to 50 percent on Wednesday when a cold front stalls to the north. It won’t result in a drop in temperatures, however.
