Expect an encore of Tuesday's weather pattern today in the Tampa Bay area.
The means above-average temperatures in the afternoon and severe storms rushing through late in the day.
The summer storm pattern is the result of Florida's east coast sea breeze meeting a west coast sea breeze near Interstate 75, according to News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann.
Tuesday's line of storms brought damaging winds and power outages to parts of Pinellas County and a waterspout over Old Tampa Bay.
Regional highs will be in the low 90s, again with a heat index around 100. The lows will be in the mid-70s. There is a 40 percent chance of rain, according to Spann.
