Saturday morning started with clear, sunny skies and cool temperatures, and the rest of the day will be much the same. The forecast shows it will only warm up a few degrees from morning to afternoon in the Tampa Bay area today, WFLA-TV meteorologist Bryan Bennett said.

A cold front passed through the area overnight, bringing the morning temperature to 50 degrees. The afternoon high will be 57, Bennett said.

There will be lots of sunshine for the Gasparilla Children’s Extravaganza on Bayshore Boulevard and the Black Heritage Festival concerts in Curtis Hixon Park.

“If you can find a cloud in the sky, take a picture and send it in to me. I guarantee we wont get many,” Bennett said.

Overnight temperatures will dip into the high 30s, but Sunday will be warmer overall, with highs in the mid 60s.
