It will feel like the middle of summer on the last day of spring in the Tampa Bay area.
The seasons will change but not the forecast of the past several days: high heat and heavy-duty humidity with afternoon thunderstorms fed by coastal sea breezes.
Highs will be around 90. The heat index - a measure of the temperature in relation to humidity - will approach 100 degrees again as hot, muggy air settles over the region.
Lows are forecast in the mid-70s near the coast and low 70s inland.
A few isolated storms could brew in the morning, but there's a 50 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Rain chances drop to about 20 percent after sunset.
