The workweek in the Tampa Bay area begins with an increased chance of rain as a cold front brings across Florida leftover moisture from what was Tropical Storm Karen.
The National Weather Service calls for a 50 percent chance of rain, much of it already moving from the Gulf of Mexico across the region this morning. Rain could be heavy in some spots.
The rain chances stay up until tonight, when they drop to about 20 percent.
The day will be muggy, with temperatures in this high 80s and lows in the low to mid-70s.
The weather service also issued a rip current risk through tonight due to strong onshore winds.
Karen, which threatened the north Gulf Coast most of last week, fizzled into a remant low over the weekend before making landfall.
