Morning commuters will face a drizzly drive today, before stronger storms and cooler weather arrive later tonight.
A strong storm system that is bringing severe weather and is grounding airline traffic nationwide will approach the Tampa area around noon, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Pockets of storms will arrive ahead of the front, with storms and gusty winds forming this afternoon and strengthening overnight.
Highs today will approach 80.
The cold air will form overnight into Wednesday morning as the front pulls to the north and east. After a few lingering showers Wednesday morning, highs will only reach 70, with overnight lows in the low-40s.
Thanksgiving morning will be the coldest of the year, as highs will struggle to reach the low-60s.
