Drier air in the Tampa Bay area means rain chances will decrease for a couple of days, only to see them notch back up Sunday — the first day of fall.
There is a 30 to 40 percent chance of precipitation today, and 20 percent Saturday.
It will still be warm, however, with lows in the mid-70s and highs near 90.
Tropical moisture returns to the region early next week with an area of low pressure over the Gulf of Mexico, the weather service said. The weather system has a 30 percent chance of tropical development, according to the weather service.
