After an overnight cool down, expect a quick warm-up today and through the weekend in the Tampa Bay area.
Most locales in the region recorded morning temperatures in the 50s — with some 40s in the northern counties.
However, it will be comfortable during the day, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-70s, the National Weather Service says. Lows tonight drop in the high 50s or low 60s, with patchy fog after midnight.
The weekend brings warmer days and a better chance for rain.
Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy with highs around 80. At night, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers.
Sunday brings a similar forecast, with rain chances at 50 percent.
The workweek is predicted to begin with clear skies and another round of comfortable temperatues, with Monday lows around 50 and highs in the mid-70s.
