The stifling summer heat will continue across the Tampa Bay area through the end of this week, says WFLA-TV meteorologist Julie Phillips.
Thursday will be a very warm day due to a northwesterly component to the wind and high pressure in place across the area, Phillips says. Highs may hit 95 in Tampa, which is well above average.
There could be a shower near the coast Thursday morning, but we aren’t expecting much activity early. By the afternoon showers and storms increase, especially east of I-75.
