More muggy conditions are on tap for the Tampa Bay region, along with a better chance of morning showers along the cost before rain chances ease this weekend.
Winds coming off the Gulf of Mexico will contribute to the sticky feel, and could push some stray showers onshore this morning showers, News Channel 8 meteorologist Julie Phillips said.
The rain will be more prevalent around noon, and shifting inland later this afternoon into tonight.
Highs will reach the low-90s, with a 40 percent chance of rain.
Rain chances will drop slightly on Saturday and heading into the weekend, thanks to drier air in the atmosphere.
