Expect cloudy, mild weather if you're heading out to enjoy the one of the many outdoor events happening around Tampa Bay today.
Temperatures should climb into the high 60s or low 70s by around 3 this afternoon as cloudy skies begin to clear up in time for the start of the Gasparilla children's parade along Bayshore Boulevard, News Channel 8 Meteorologist Megan Hatton said.
Those planning on sticking around for the fireworks might want to have a light jacket ready though.
"Nothing too severe, but we may see some light sprinkles as the fireworks get going this evening around 7 p.m.," Hatton said.
Another cold front will arrive on Monday but is not expected to bring much rain. Monday's highs on Martin Luther King Jr. Day should reach the low 70s, but the high on Tuesday will only be in the low 60s.
