Lower rain chances will start week

Published:   |   Updated: June 22, 2014 at 07:47 PM

Rain chances will be lower than normal for the summer months to start off the workweek, says WFLA-TV meteorologist Julie Phillips.

Showers and storms in inland areas Sunday evening will wrap up around 10 p.m., and the overnight hours will be partly cloudy and muggy with temps in the upper 70s.

There is a slight chance of a shower near the coast Monday morning due to an onshore flow, but generally storms will hold off until the afternoon. The high will be near 90.
