Temperatures will rise, but rain chances will drop as dry air begins takes over in the Tampa Bay area.
After an abnormally wet couple of weeks, the chance of afternoon storms diminishes today, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann today.
A few storms will develop this afternoon, mainly inland and drifting toward the west coast later today into tonight, but they will be less widespread.
Highs today will reach the low- to mid-90s under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the low- to mid-70s.
Rain chances drop to 30 percent this week, but ramp up again heading into the Labor Day weekend.
