A large, rotten oak tree fell during one of the storms Monday night and caused so much damage to a house that the homeowner had to find a new place to stay.
Tampa Fire Rescue got a call at 6:13 p.m. and found a large oak tree on a house at 2111 East Bougainvillea Ave. in North Tampa. The tree fell from a neighbor’s yard.
Princilien Lajeunesse, 58, the homeowner, was away when the tree fell and no other injuries were reported, according to Fire Rescue.
Fire Rescue asked the American Red Cross to help the family of two adults and four children find temporary housing.
