High humidity moves back into the Tampa Bay area later today, ending a brief respite from what has been a steamy August.
It will be hot, of course, with highs in the low 90s, according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front passing through Florida this week made way for drier air, but the moisture pushes back up from the Caribbean by day’s end.
That should increase heat index values, a measure combining temperature and humidity, to near 100, the weather service said.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows near 70.
Rain chances today stand at 20 percent.
