Tampa Bay area residents will experience a hot, sticky - and perhaps wet - commute to start the work week. Winds coming in off the Gulf of Mexico are generating extremely humid conditions and isolated showers near the coast, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said. Temperatures are starting off in the mid-80s in some areas, and will climb to a high of 91 with a 40 percent chance of mainly inland storms. The humidity will make drive feel-like temperatures into the upper-90s. The rain will taper off this evening, with lows in the upper-70s. Similar conditions are expected to prevail into the middle of the week.
