Yet another sunny, pleasant day is ahead for the Tampa Bay area today, but a cold front will bring a return to rain and chilly temperatures by Wednesday night.
After a cool start, highs today will be slightly above average, in the mid- to upper-70s under sunny skies and low humidity, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Lows will drop to the upper-50s.
Clouds will build Wednesday with the approaching cold front. Rain chances increase in the afternoon, with a few thunderstorms possible by Wednesday night.
Temperatures will fall into the mid-40s as the front passes, with highs Thursday only topping out in the mid-60s with skies clearing Thursday night.
