Well that didn’t last long.
A day after a cold snap saw temperatures dip into the 40s, warm temperatures are returning to the Tampa Bay area, WFLA meteorologist Bryan Bennett said.
This afternoon will be about 20 degrees warmer than the same time Friday, with an expected high of 72 degrees, Bennett said.
It will be cloudy around the Bay area, but mostly dry, with spotty showers expected to pass to the south of Tampa.
Things will be even warmer on Sunday when it will hit 80 degrees, Bennett said.
“That will be sort of a tease though, because after that we’ll see some of the coldest weather yet this winter,” Bennett said.
