Forecast: Still hot, but lower humidity noticeable

Published:

Temperatures readings aren’t much different today, but Tampa Bay area residents will notice slightly lower humidity, the product of a cold front that passed through Florida this week.

The National Weather Service calls for lows in the mid-70s and highs in the mid-90s, with a small chance of rain.

Helping to pull in drier air is the counter-clockwise flow from Hurricane Cristobel, which is strengthening in the Atlantic and heading away from the United States, WFLA-TV meteorologist Leigh Spann said.

Winds will be from the northeast, eventually turning north, with some gusts up to 20 mph.
