Tampa is going to experience near-record high temperatures for the second day in a row on Sunday, WFLA-TV meteorologists said.
The afternoon high is expected to reach 84 degrees, just shy of the all-time record for Dec. 22 of 85 degrees, set in 1990. A normal temperature for this time of year would be in the 60s, meteorologists said.
It will be mostly dry and sunny on Sunday. Things will stay mostly the same on Monday, before a front cools things down to the 70s in time for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
