Tampa Bay area residents will get a nice start to the weekend, with lots of sunshine and significantly low chances of rain for this rainy time of year.
There will only be about a 20 percent chance of rain for Pinellas County and its beaches and about a 30 percent chance of rain in Tampa, WFLA meteorologist Bryan Bennett said.
"The satellite shows it's clear from Pinellas to Polk and east across Hillsborough County," Bennett said.
The likelihood that you'll see scattered rain increases as you move east toward Polk County. That's due to the regeneration of Tropical Depression Dorian off of Florida's east coast, Bennett said.
"That's about all we should see from Dorian," Bennett said.
The afternoon high will reach the low 90s.
The lowered rain chances will continue through Sunday
