After a foggy start, the Tampa Bay area is in for another warm afternoon ahead of a cold front that will bring rain and cooler temperatures.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9 a.m., with visibility less than one mile in some areas, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Highs will be in the low-70s today, under partly cloudy skies and muggy conditions, with a slim rain chance. Lows will be in the low- to mid-40s.
Rain chances gear up on Wednesday as a cold front, that will produce snow and ice today throughout the Deep South, approaches the region. Highs will only reach the mid- to upper-50s with lots of clouds, breezy conditions and a 50 percent chance of rain.
Warm, pleasant conditions return Friday and into the weekend.
