After a mild morning, a cold front will arrive in the Tampa Bay area this afternoon, driving rain chances up while bringing cooler temperatures for Thursday.
Temperatures are starting out near 70 degrees, with less fog, and highs will climb into the low-80s in some areas, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
There is a chance of a stray shower during the day, but the rain chances increase to 40 percent once the front passes later this afternoon, dropping lows into the upper-50s.
Showers are possible again on Thursday, with seasonal highs of just above 70. Temperatures will warm again on Friday heading into the weekend.
