Clouds will build today, but the rain will likely hold off until Wednesday night as a cold front lifts from the south.
After some possible patchy fog this morning, temperatures will be above average, with highs approaching 80 under partly cloudy skies, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
There is a 20 percent chance of isolated showers, and lows will be in the mid-50s.
An area of low pressure will arrive Wednesday, along with the stalled cold front, bringing rain mainly in the afternoon and overnight into Thursday. Highs will drop to the low-70s on Wednesday, and the mid-60s on Thursday.
Skies will clear Friday, creating comfortable conditions heading into the weekend.
