Tampa Bay area residents may need to endure sweater weather for just one more day, before a warm-up this afternoon sets the stage for a sunny, pleasant March weekend.
The region is chilly this morning, and Citrus and Hernando counties are under a frost advisory until 8 a.m. But skies will clear and temperatures will warm quickly — even though it will still be below average — with highs around 70 under mostly sunny skies, News Channel 8 metorologist Leigh Spann said.
Lows will be in the low-50s.
The warming trend continues into the weekend with winds shifting from the east. Highs will reach the mid-70s on Saturday and the upper-70s on Sunday, with lots of sunshine.
