The Florida Highway Patrol said it reopened Alligator Alley, which was closed for several hours early Monday due to poor visibility.
Alligator Alley, a portion of Interstate 75, was shut down because of fog and smoke from a brush fire at the Big Cypress National Preserve.
The stretch of highway, also known as Everglades Parkway, crosses South Florida from Naples to Weston.
The road reopened about 10 a.m.
The highway patrol also reopened State Road 29 in Collier County, which had been shut down between U.S. 41 and Oil Well Road.
