An unusually warm December continues for one more day for the Tampa Bay area, until a cold front will bring chances of rain and sweater weather for Christmas.
Some commuters will experience isolated dense fog this morning, then temperatures will reach the low-80s with a 20 percent chance of rain as a cold front approaches, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
The rain chances will continue overnight, with some showers remaining into Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will cool quickly as the front passes early Tuesday, as highs will only reach the low-70s and nighttime lows in the mid-40s.
Christmas Day shapes up as the most pleasant day this week, with sunny skies and highs again in the low-70s before rain chances return Thursday.
