Summer-like conditions will prevail over the Tampa Bay area again today, with plenty of heat, extra humidity, and a chance for afternoon showers.
Strong storms late Sunday night have moved across the state, leading to a sticky morning and a chance for a stray shower, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.
Highs today will reach the mid-80s, with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms – primarily forming inland – this afternoon into the evening. Lows will drop to the upper-60s to low-70s.
Rain chances gradually diminish through the work week, with above-average temperatures continuing ahead of a cold front that will drive rain chances back up this weekend.
