Tampa Bay Weather

Scattered afternoon showers to persist into the weekend across Tampa Bay

A strong southwestern flow continues to drag scattered showers and thunderstorms from the Gulf. As the weekend approaches, folks around Tampa Bay can expect to see a familiar pattern: morning showers near the coast and, by the afternoon, stronger and more widespread storms inland.

Thursday will remain very warm and muggy as afternoon temperatures approach the upper 80s and lower 90s, but the heat will feel closer to 100-105 due to the high humidity, according to the National Weather Service. By the afternoon, rain chances will reach 50 percent, and if a storm isnít overhead, expect partly sunny skies.
