Video: Falcon’s Fury drops from high above Busch Gardens

See those tiny little gray things way off on the horizon?

That’s downtown Tampa as seen from high above Busch Gardens, and that’s just how high the theme park’s new Falcon’s Fury drop tower is.

The theme park released video from the soon-to-open attraction showing the view from atop the 335-foot-tall ride before it plunges toward the ground at 60 mph.

A couple other things you might notice down on the ground are the Gwazi and Scorpion roller coasters, which at their respective heights of 105 and 60 feet look fairly puny from the top of Falcon’s Fury.

Falcon’s Fury was supposed to open for media previews on April 22 before opening to the public on May 1, but the park canceled because of “ongoing construction requirements.” Busch Gardens has yet to announce a new opening date.
