Thanksgiving will start off on chilly side

Published:   |   Updated: November 27, 2013 at 10:38 PM

The strong winds the area saw Wednesday will continue to come from the north overnight, ushering in some of the coldest air we’ve seen this season, says WFLA-TV meteorologist Leigh Spann.

Lows will range from the low 30s in the north to the mid 30s inland and near 40 along the coast. A freeze warning is in effect for Citrus and Levy counties, so be sure to bring in the pets and cover the plants in those areas, Spann says.

There will be lots of sunshine Thursday, but highs will be about 10 degrees below average.
