A Texas man who died at a Pasco County hospital Friday afternoon was fatally shot in New Tampa after an argument in a McDonald's parking lot, Tampa police said.

Reggie Reshawn Adams, 20, was visiting family and friends in Dade City the day he was killed, police said.

Investigators said they want to talk to a man seen on a surveillance video recorded just before the shooting inside the fast-food restaurant. They believe he may have information about the crime, police said.

According to investigators, Adams was involved in a disagreement about 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the McDonald's, 19080 Bruce B Downs Blvd.

Adams left in his 2005 black Dodge Magnum, and the attacker chased Adams on Bruce B. Downs about 2 miles to near Interstate 75, police said. Adams was shot there in his car, police said.

Adams' friends dropped him off at Pasco Regional Hospital in Dade City at 5:11 p.m., police said. He died there a short time later.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800 873-TIPS, or text a tip with the subject "CSTB" to 274637. Tipsters may be eligibile for a cash reward.
