Ave Maria University Chorus members to perform

Prince of Peace Catholic Church will host three accomplished graduating seniors and two faculty members from the Department of Music at Ave Maria University for a special performance at 4 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Conesa Center at 702 Valley Forge Blvd. Musical selections will include pieces by Schumann, Bellini, Mozart and others. The recital is open to the public and free of charge. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Ohio Club hosts poet

The Ohio Club recently kicked off 2014 with its annual meeting, featuring local poet John Foster. Foster shared his poetry, sang some Tom Lehrer songs and played his ukulele. Club members also elected new officers, including Joanne Sudman, Chuck Dyer, Sam Sudman and Barb McElheny.

The next Ohio Club function will be its annual Kentucky Derby Party on May 5 at Community Hall. For information, call Jim Rottman, club president, at (813) 634-7770.

Fiber artists wanted

The John Crawford Art Advisory Board is looking for interested adult fiber artists whose works would be displayed in the Crawford Gallery during November and December. This Fiber Art Group Show will include quilting, weaving, stitching, felting and paper-making. All work must be original.
