Rays strength and conditioning coach Kevin Barr arranged for 10 members of the Wounded Warriors to visit the Rays on Thursday and Friday. They will participate in the team’s pregame workout and shag balls during batting practice.

Manager Joe Maddon met actress Jane Seymour on Monday at 717 South in Tampa. They talked baseball — her son is a high school catcher in Malibu, Calif.
“She’s a Dodger fan, and I accepted that, but we’re going to try and flip her,” Maddon said. “She needs an American League team, so I was pushing the Rays.”
When asked for his favorite Jane Seymour movie, Maddon said, “ ‘Wedding Crashers’ will always be one of her favorite moments.”
The Rays began Tuesday’s game against the Twins having allowed a major league-low 58 runs — nine fewer than the Twins, who were second with 67.
