Rays set roster for Indians game; Moore, Archer in relief

CLEVELAND – The Rays announced the roster for tonight’s wild-card game against the Indians.

It includes nine pitchers and three catchers. Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, who made his major-league debut in the bottom of the ninth inning Monday when he replaced Sam Fuld in center field, made the roster.

Matt Moore and Chris Archer will serve as long relievers in the bullpen.

The roster does not include DH Luke Scott, who has had just 16 at-bats since returning from the disabled list Sept. 10.

The roster stands for tonight’s game, but the Rays can change it for the AL Division Series against Boston, should they advance.
