PORT CHARLOTTE -

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Dioner Navarro makes his return to the field this afternoon against the visiting Boston Red Sox at Charlotte Sports Park.

Navarro caught a few innings Monday in a minor league game, his first work behind the plate since sustaining a bruised nerve in his left shin while blocking the plate March 20 against the Jacque Jones of the Twins.

Willy Aybar will put his left hamstring to the test by playing third base.

David Price will pitch a minor league game against the Twins in Fort Myers so as not to face the Red Sox.

Reliever Joaquin Benoit will pitch the first inning, beginning a parade on relief pitchers to the mound for the Rays. He'll be followed by Lance Cormier, Andy Sonnanstine, Rafael Soriano and Heath Rollins.

The Red Sox lineup includes a Tug, Dusty and Casey - a trio of baseball names.

One more victory and the Rays set a franchise record for spring training wins.
