TAMPA — Wharton’s Chase Litton threw three first-half touchdowns and the Wildcats’ defense held the Spartans to 52 total yards to lead the Wildcats past Spoto.

Litton found Auden Tate for a 15-yard scoring pass on the game’s first drive and again for 16 yards later in the quarter.

Litton’s last touchdown pass went to Jeffery Keil for 3 yards.

The senior quarterback finished 12 of 19 for 99 yards.

With the game in hand, the Wildcats gave the ball to Keil, who carried 11 times for 80 yards.

His longest went for a 32-yard score.

The Wildcats defense had two interceptions, and Jermey Jefferson ran one back 28 yards for a touchdown.

Wharton travels to play Plant City next week, while Spoto is at Strawberry Crest.
