Tyler House, Cambridge Christian

WHY WE CHOSE HIM: The senior right-hander threw a five-inning perfect game as the Lancers earned their first victory of the season, a 10-0 win against Lakeland Victory Christian. House threw 55 pitches with five strikeouts and reached three balls in the pitch count just once.

COLLEGE PLANS: House has been accepted into the University of Tampa and plans to study actuarial science.

Peyton Walker, Seffner Christian

WHY WE CHOSE HER: The junior forward had 50 points and 32 rebounds during the Class 3A state final four, leading her team to its first state championship game and earning team MVP honors in the process. Walker, who this season became the program’s all-time rebounder and surpassed 1,500 career points, had 27 points and 21 rebounds in the state semifinal win over Calvary Christian, and a team-best 23 points and 11 rebounds in the state final loss to Miami Country Day.

COLLEGE PLANS: Walker has interest from several colleges, including Wagner, Tennessee State and La Salle.
