The Pasco Tribune’s All-Pasco County Softball Team

First Team

Makenzie Goluba

Pitcher, Junior, River Ridge: For the third straight season, Goluba proved she was one of the best pitchers in Pasco County. The junior helped lead the Royal Knights to a 26-4 record and the Class 5A-District 8 title. Goluba finished the season with a 23-4 record and a 0.34 ERA. She struck out 171 while also batting .398 with 29 RBIs.

Jordan Fowler

Pitcher, Senior, Mitchell: Fowler was 14-1 with a 1.13 ERA. She had 90 strikeouts in helping Mitchell claim the Class 6A-District 10 championship.

Kenzi Maguire

Catcher, Junior, River Ridge: The Arkansas commit was one of the most feared hitters in the county with a .598 batting average, 52 runs scored and 45 RBIs. She also had 12 triples and seven home runs.

Lauren Evans

Infielder, Senior, Academy at the Lakes: Evans has had great seasons in the past, batting more than .600 in 2012 and 2013, but this spring was the best for the University of South Florida commit. The shortstop helped bring the team within a game of a state semifinal by batting .708, with 29 RBIs, 32 runs and four homers. Evans also had six doubles, 10 triples and 11 stolen bases.

Morgan Tolle

Infielder, Senior, River Ridge: Tolle was second on the team in batting average (.489) and led the squad in home runs with eight. The senior also had 38 runs and 45 RBIs.

Lindsey Hupp

Infielder, Junior, Zephyrhills: The first baseman was the strongest hitter in the Bulldogs’ lineup with a .500 batting average. She also scored 21 runs and had 30 RBIs.

Kourtney Gracie

Infielder, Sophomore, Anclote: The shortstop batted .500 with 18 runs, 17 RBIs and a homer.

Kassidy Neptune

Outfielder, Senior, Mitchell: Mitchell’s top outfielder hit a team-high .571 with 39 runs, 32 RBIs and five home runs for the 6A-District 10 champions.

Shailynn Morales

Outfielder, Junior, Wiregrass Ranch: Morales had three homers, 28 hits and 13 RBIs.

Haley McCarthy

Outfielder, Junior, Gulf: McCarthy batted .415 with 12 runs and 27 hits while playing left field for the Buccaneers.

Kiera Delegro

Utility, Senior, Mitchell: Mostly playing second base, the senior hit .492, scored 30 runs and had 32 hits.

The Pasco Tribune all-county softball team was selected by correspondent Andy Villamarzo, based on regular-season and postseason results. The Player and Coach of the Year will be announced at a later date.
