ORLANDO — For the first time this season, Seffner Christian’s offense didn’t lead the team to victory.

The Crusaders scored on a fumble recovery and recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown in a 35-11 win over Orlando Christian Prep in a Sunshine State Athletic Conference game on Friday.

The win improved Seffner to 5-0, putting the Crusaders atop the standing of the South division of the SSAC.

“It’s just great to see all the work they put in come to fruition,” Seffner Christian associate coach Travis Tuleo said.

Caleb Newman led the offense with 126 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Karmi Mackey rushed for 50 yards, caught a 27-yard TD pass and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown.
