TAMPA — Leading by just three points at the half, the Knights scored the final 23 points to put the game away against the Yellow Jackets.
Ahead 10-7 in the third quarter, Javaughn Johnson’s 27-yard run put the Knights up by 10. On the ensuing kickoff, the Knights recovered a Yellow Jackets fumble. Four plays later, Dakarai Reynolds scored from 25 yards out to give Robinson a 23-7 advantage.
A Jerson Camacho field goal, his second of the game, made it 26-7 before Brandon Peters capped the scoring with a 32-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
“After starting the season 0-4, we’ve now won four of our last five games and are moving things in the right direction,’’ Robinson coach Shawn Taylor said.
“We knew it was a building year for us at Robinson, it usually takes us a couple of seasons to get back to where we can make another good run into the playoffs.”
Robinson (4-5) finishes its season next week at Hillsborough.
Blake dropped to 2-7. The Yellow Jackets also finish their schedule next week at home against Jefferson.
