RUSKIN — Robinson running back Michael Duclos took the handoff from his quarterback on the first play from scrimmage and raced 58 yards for a touchdown en route to a 14-carry, 102-yard rushing night in leading the Knights to victory.

It was homecoming for winless Lennard and the team surprised the Knights when Longhorns quarterback Diontae Johnson hit Corey Hicks for a 45-yard touchdown pass to make it 15-7. Kicker Ellis Shaw followed with a line drive that caromed off a first-line Robinson defender and into the grasp of three Lennard players. The team recovered at the 50-yard line and the momentum seemed to be with the team.

However, the Knights put an end to the drama by holding the Longhorns to three plays and a punt. On the next series, Robinson quarterback Darius Autry hit Jahrvis Davenport for a 45-yard pass to put the game out of reach.

Autry also connected with Darrell Gwyn on a 20-yard touchdown play.

Lennard’s offense was held scoreless in the first half and was limited to 7 yards passing in seven attempts. In the second half, Johnson connected on eight straight passes, finishing with 106 yards.
