Colby Brown, Plant
WHY WE CHOSE HIM: The senior quarterback went 33 of 43 for 519 yards with four touchdowns on Friday in a comeback win against Bloomingdale. The 519 yards broke the previous Plant record held by Aaron Murray (409 yards against Jefferson in 2007), while his 33 completions broke Robert Marve’s record from the 2006 state championship game.
COLLEGE PLANS: Brown has received an offer from Georgia State and plans to play collegiately.
Olivia Kirkpatrick, Academy of the Holy Names
WHY WE CHOSE HER: At the Berkeley Invitational,the sophomore won the 50-meter freestyle, 100 backstroke and swam on the Jaguars’ 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay winning teams. Kirkpatrick has lost one head-to-head race all season, finishing second to Newsome’s Maddie Hess.
